Every piece I make carries a little piece of my family with it — the patience of my Grandma, the creativity of my Aunties, and the warmth of my beloved Mum.
A craft passed down with love
I was taught to knit, sew and mend in the traditional manner — sitting at the knee of the women who shaped me. My Grandma had needles in her hands as far back as I can remember, and my Aunties could turn a scrap of fabric into something beautiful. But it was my Mum who truly brought it all together for me, teaching me not just the stitches but the care and intention behind every one.
These weren't just crafts — they were a language. A way of saying 'I made this for you' that no shop-bought gift could ever match. That spirit lives in everything I create at Karen's Krafty Knits.
Each jumper, jacket and hoodie is handmade by me, here in the UK, using techniques handed down through generations. No two pieces are ever quite the same, and that's exactly how I like it.
